1-hour Programs
Our 1-hour programs are designed to be fun and educational for people of all ages. Children as well as adults enjoy these programs. They are recommended for groups such as libraries, private parties, and scout troops.
Program Policies
• All of these programs can be conducted as outreach programs for an additional cost.
• Maximum of 24 students per program.
• 1 chaperone per 8 students
• Chaperones attend free of charge and do not need to attend a Professional Development Workshop in advance of the
1-hour program.
• These prices reflect the programs being conducted at the DNA EpiCenter.
Taking Measurements Program Price: $220 Recommended Ages: 5 & up
Can you bake a cake or build a bookshelf without using measurements? Students are taught the proper technique for measuring mass, volume, temperature, and length using laboratory equipment and basic tools. They apply these new techniques and skills while moving through measuring stations!
Classification and Sorting Program Price: $220 Recommended Ages: 5 & up
Students design their own requirements for sorting candy, animals, and vegetables. Classifications of each group are compared around the room, and a list is compiled to include all combinations. The possibilities are endless!
