School Groups: Curriculum
This unit utilizes evidence recovered at a mock crime scene. Students receive a packet of information prior to their visit containing the evidence recovered from the scene. While visiting the DNA EpiCenter, students have the opportunity to see the mock crime scene. Students also have the opportunity to build a 3-D cell model and perform a DNA extraction. This unit of study was primarily developed to allow students to expand upon their knowledge of the cell structure and function.
