Look Inside Your"CELL"ves!
The Look Inside Your“CELLS”ves activity was developed to facilitate genetic and forensic science education at the 7th grade level. Presented in a hands-on investigative style, students find themselves eager to participate in this unit. This lesson has been developed using an inquiry-based model that allows students to personally connect with the subject matter as they expand their prior content knowledge.

In an effort to teach to multiple intelligences, expanded Literacy, Art, Technology, and Research Connections have been incorporated that can either be taught in conjunction with the science portion or can be explored on their own. Teachers are also provided with a list of additional science activities
that can be used to reinforce the students’ visit to the DNA EpiCenter.
