Slime!
Wednesday, July 8th

Discover what DNA and slime have in common. Students learn about the formation of polymers while making their very own slime to take home. Customize your slime with glitter and food coloring

Taking Measurements
Wednesday, July 15th

Can you bake a cake or build a bookshelf without using measurements? Students are taught the proper technique for measuring mass, volume, temperature, and length using laboratory equipment and basic tools. They apply these new techniques and skills while moving through measuring stations!

Flower Dissection
Wednesday, July 22nd

Where do bees go when they crawl into a flower? Students learn about the different parts of a flowering plant, focusing on the flower. Dissect a flower to discover its complex structure and where fruit comes from!

Baggy Cell
Wednesday, August 5th

Fit your DNA into the nucleus, and add the rest of the cell parts to a snack-size bag. Complete your model by creating slime inside the bag. Your baggy cell will feel just like a real cell!

DNA Extraction
Wednesday, August 19th

How easy is it to obtain DNA from a plant or animal cell? Using household items, perform an extraction to remove the DNA from plant cells! See what millions of DNA strands look like without needing a microscope.

All Programs start at 2pm.

Cost is $5 per child (Non-member) $4 per child (Member) $15 for a family of three or more children
